I'm Marta, daughter of a Valencian family with deep roots in the world of oranges.
Our fields go back to our grandparents, who most likely inherited them from their own parents.
As a sign of its age, the old farmhouse has some tiles that read “HORT DE LA BASSA – Year 1786”.
These fields were used to grow carob trees, almond trees, vines and olive trees, and switched to citrus fruits at the beginning of the 20th century.
In 2006 we started farming organically, to help improve biodiversity by avoiding polluting products (synthetic fertilisers, herbicides, pesticides) that would harm the beautiful setting where we are located.
Our aim is to reach private consumers, businesses and groups of families who want organic oranges bought directly from the grower, so they are guaranteed the best quality at the right price.

WHAT WE DO
We grow several varieties of organic citrus fruit and also offer organic produce from partner farmers near us who, being small, cannot supply continuously throughout the season.

We are located in a unique and privileged natural setting: the Albufera Natural Park of Valencia, in the municipality of Cullera, next to the Balsa de San Lorenzo, a natural lagoon full of Mediterranean flora and fauna, surrounded by a horseshoe of mountains with the Mediterranean Sea in front.
Pines, mastic trees, heather, kermes oaks and acacias abound alongside scrubland and aromatic plants. Some carob, almond and olive trees from the old plantation still stand, and even a few century-old holm oaks.
Birds are plentiful, including several species of ducks, herons and other waterbirds, as well as many wood pigeons, partridges and a variety of migratory and native birds.
We love our land and want to protect and preserve it.

ORGANIC CERTIFICATION
We follow the organic standards of the EU and the Valencian Community, ES-ECO-020-CV, and their latest amendments and provisions.
We guarantee quality organic fruit to consumers by providing the Certificate of Conformity issued by the control body, the Organic Farming Committee of the Valencian Community. Every year we undergo one or two inspections by the Committee's technicians, who check that we strictly apply the Regulations on growing and handling the organic fruit we offer.
